Product Manager

We’re looking for a commercially aware, customer and data-driven, results and outcome-oriented Product Manager who will help grow our business with a passion for building customer led solutions and creating and maintaining positive relationships.

You’re a T-shaped person who can adapt to the varying demands that a start-up brings. You will primarily have a passion for customer led b2c product management and owning the management and delivery of our roadmap, be equally at home with business analysis and mapping, comfortable playing a role within our daily scrum meetings, love diving into performance analytics and be willing to jump on a bit of testing when required.

Monva adopts a customer development approach to product development, and we’ll be looking for you to engage with existing customers, focus groups, investors online research and analysis tools to build a collaborative environment that provides regular insights and suggestion into our product roadmap.

You are responsible for maintaining the roadmap and helping to shape the product vision with success based on growth in key Customer KPI’s. Central to the role is the need to balance current commercial focus (revenue management) with longer term innovations, while keeping customers at the heart of everything we do.

Working with the founders and engineering teams, you will be assisting with prioritising the delivery of new features and projects. You’ll promote, recommend and steer product decisions that provide the foundations of great user experiences, ensuring customer research, analytics and commercial/market insights are acted upon quickly and trade-off decisions are made effectively.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead on the delivery of Monva’s product roadmap, working with technology to deliver features
  • Assist with creating and driving the product vision, roadmap and goals, all of which support the overall product strategy.
  • Assist with the development of business cases and analysis for product investment
  • Identify new opportunities that support product vision and strategy
  • Focus on creating product specifications (requirements, user stories), working with others to deliver projects, wireframes, UI/UX, A/B test and defining product rollout strategies
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to define the vision of the product and product roadmap
  • Manage our customer development and product labs environment
  • Conduct user acceptance testing
  • Maintain a positive relationship with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Review and interpret qualitative and quantitative data on customer usage patterns to uncover new insights to drive new product improvements
  • Maintain a view on market trends and competitive best practices
  • Operate within the values and mannerisms of the company (see end of page)

 Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Flexible, adaptable, able to wear many hats – context switching is common
  • A track record in digital product management; defining product strategies that deliver valuable, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven capability making data-driven decisions, analysing information to create customer led solutions for business strategy, product development.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with deep understanding of online advertising, funnel analysis and information aggregation
  • Business analysis skills, mapping, business requirement documentation
  • Ability to prepare for and run customer product workshops
  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements and convert them into a winning product vision
  • An understanding of user experience design, with the ability to discuss in detail with UX and UI designers
  • Demonstrated record in taking service products to market in an Agile environment, and challenging timescales
  • Experience with A/B and multi-variate testing and customer research/segmentation
  • Emotional intelligence and self-insight that enables you to quickly build trust across teams
  • People, partnership and organisational management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of price comparison in our current categories of credit cards, loans and energy would be advantageous
